Going nowhere

Arsene Wenger is hopeful that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will not be leaving the club by January.
When asked on Tuesday if both players will still be at the club by February 1 Wenger replied by saying " I rule it out. I do not think every day about that but as long as they are here they have to give their best for the team and the club".
"In my head, they stay until the end of the season". That was the decision taken at the start of the season unless something unbelievable happens.

Ac Milan sack Montella

Ac Milan have sacked Vincenzo Montella and replaced him with Gennaro Gattuso.
Montella joined Milan in the summer of 2016 after spells with Roma, Catania, Fiorentina and Sampdoria.
Milan are currently lying seventh in the Seria A table and are 18 points behind league leaders Napoli despite spending big in the summer.
Milan confirmed this on their official twitter account "#ACMilan announce to have parted ways with @VMontella. Management of the first team is entrusted to Gennaro Gattuso, who leaves his position as Primavera coach and to whom we wish the best of luck".

Oumar Niasse banned for diving

Everton striker Oumar Niasse has been banned for two games for simulation. Niasse becomes the first Premier League player to be hit with a retrospective ban for diving since the new law was introduced at the start of the season.

Yakubu retires from football

Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has decided to retire from football. Yakubu started his senior career at Julius Berger and went on to play for Maccabi Haifa, Portsmouth, Everton, Middlesbrough,Leicester amongst others. He made a total of 250 premier League appearance and 96 goals becoming the third highest African goalscorer in the Premier League behind only Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor.
