Italian giants AC Milan have unveiled further details regarding their new stadium, which the club say would be one of the most innovative in the world.
Milan want to see the redevelopment of the Portello area of the city resulting in their own 48,000-seater stadium, and the club says the team behind the ideas have studied 70 different stadia acorss the world before producing these plans.
The Italian side explained that the new stadium will only have a minor impact on the aesthetics of the city with the building peaking at 30 metres in height, half the seize of the San Siro, with another 10 metres being underground.
Milan also claimed that state of the art sound-proof materials would result in minor noise disturbances throughout the city.
The club added that 'the project takes its inspiration from the English model: a stadium that can be reached by public transport and by doing so encouraging fans to be more environmentally aware.'
Milan also want the stadium to be built 'with particular attention towards families, with the latest comforts and the best in security.'
