Thomas Vermaelen could get a Champions League winner's medal with Barcelona.

Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen is in line to pick up a Champions League winner's medal if they triumph in next month's final in Berlin - despite not playing a single minute this season.
Centre back Vermaelen moved to Barca last summer for a £15million fee from Arsenal but a thigh injury and the good form of his team-mates mean he is still to make his debut.
Even though he has spent the entire season out of the side, the Belgium international is likely to pick up the most prized possession in European football if Barca succeed in Berlin.
UEFA's rules on the presentation of medals stipulate that 40 are given to the winning club, and with Barcelona having used just 21 players in the competition, Vermaelen is set to be among those walking down the steps at Berlin's Olympiastadion with a medal draped around his neck.
The 29-year-old has appeared among the substitutes for Luis Enrique's side at the tail end of the season, including in last week's first-leg thrashing of Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp, although he is yet to make it on to the pitch.
However, his presence in the named squad for the competition makes it all-but certain that he will be honoured should Barca be crowned champions of Europe.
