Bayern Munich are moving quickly to replace Bastian Schweinsteiger as they close in on a move for Arturo Vidal, according to reports in Italy.
The Juventus star is thought to be nearing a move to the Bundesliga champions in a deal worth £28million.
This will be a hammer blow for some of the Premier League giants, who have held a long-term interest in Vidal.
Corriere dello Sport report that Bayern have moved quickly to agree a deal with the Chilean and say that playmaker Mario Gotze could move in the opposite direction.
The Germany international, who scored the winner in the World Cup final, has struggled to hold down a permanent starting spot under Pep Guardiola.
La Gazzetta dello Sport are already claiming that the midfielder has agreed a deal with Bayern and believe the move is 'imminent.' Source:Dailymail.
