Chelsea set to launch new bid for John Stones.

Chelsea will make a fresh £26million offer for Everton defender John Stones today after the champions' initial £20m bid was rebuffed.
Jose Mourinho is confident he will land his man - seen as the long-term successor of club captain John Terry - and says Everton have not indefinitely rejected the Blues' advances for the 21-year-old.
Stones will be offered the No 6 shirt and Chelsea secretary David Barnard will meet with Everton officials. While the Merseyside club will demand in excess of £30m, another bid of £26m will be launched today.
Roberto Martinez claims the former Barnsley centre back will not be sold and even criticised Chelsea for making their approach public.
Mourinho has rejected that stance, however, and would like to add Stones to his squad before the start of the new Premier League season to eventually replace Terry, 34, who recently penned a new one-year deal.
He said: ‘At the moment they say: “We don’t accept this bid”. They don’t say: “We don’t accept bids; any bids”. While they say, “We don’t accept this bid” until September 1, we can improve the bid: £1 more, £10 more, we can improve the bid.
‘If one day Roberto Martinez or the chairman says: “He’s not for sale; we don’t accept any bid”, game over. So during this process, it’s clear, we don’t deny we made a bid for Stones. It means we are trying to buy.’
Chelsea are puzzled by Everton suggestions that their bid was in some way undermining their pre-season preparations.
They are also considering offering a player as part of the deal, possibly winger Victor Moses.
