Aston Villa appoint Tim Sherwood as new manager.

Aston Villa have appointed Tim Sherwood as their new manager on a deal until the summer of 2018.
The former Tottenham Hotspur head coach will be in the stands for Villa's match against Leicester on Sunday and will hold a press conference on Monday.
Sherwood will be tasked with immediately lifting a squad who have failed to win in ten Premier League games.
The 46-year-old was the only candidate Villa chief executive Tom Fox spoke to, and negotiations have reached a happy conclusion.
It is understood Sherwood sought assurances over finances and his long-term position, with his three-and-a-half year deal an indication he got his wishes. Villa were also seeking an individual for an extended period, rather than immediate firefighter, and will hope Sherwood can get the most out of their academy talents.
His first official game in charge will be the visit of Stoke on February 21.
