Alexey Yakovlev, a Russian fan of the Premier League's most successful club, decided to take his team to new heights by putting a United flag in space.
Yakovlev gave the flag to a friend on the International Space Station, orbiting the Earth in 2014, and it was above the planet for 169 days.
'I decided to send the MUFC flag to bring some space energy to the club,' said Yakovlev, who wants to hand the flag over to the club when they visit CSKA Moscow later this month.
'I am very proud of what I did because United means a lot to me. We've waved our flag up in space – nobody can make it any higher!', he told Red News fanzine.
