FALCAO DEAL ALMOST COMPLETE
Radamel Falcao will be a Chelsea player next season,
according to reports in the Portuguese media.
The Colombian has been strongly linked with Chelsea
after Louis van Gaal rejected the chance to turn his
loan deal at United into a permanent one.
Jose Mourinho has claimed he will do whatever he can
to get the striker firing again and, according to
newspaper Record, Mourinho will get the opportunity at
Stamford Bridge next season.
The deal is likely to see the Colombian move from
parent-club Monaco on loan as opposed to a permanent
deal.
CHELSEA OFFER REAL COSTA
Chelsea have reportedly offered the transfer of Diego
Costa to Real Madrid, reports the Metro.
The Spanish striker made a blistering start to life in the
Premier League, scoring 21 goals in 34 appearances,
but apparently he has not settled into life at Stamford
Bridge.
Costa joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid for
£32million last summer, but has been offered to
Atletico’s city rivals Real Madrid, according to Spanish
TV station El Chiringuito.
MANCINI EYES CHICHARITO
Inter Milan are preparing to launch a move to sign
Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according
to Gazetta dello Sport.
The Mexican player is set to return to Old Trafford after
Real Madrid chose not to extend his season-long loan at
the Santiago Bernabeu.
Manager Roberto Mancini has highlighted Chicharito as
a potential summer target and the Nerazzurri are
thought to be ready to open negotiations with the 27-
year-old this week.
COENTRAO NEARS BENFICA RETURN
Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao is nearing a return
to his former club Benfica, reports Correio de Manha.
The Portuguese defender has been a peripheral figure at
the Bernabeu in recent times – playing second fiddle to
preferred full-back Marcelo - and he is set to be given
the chance to relaunch his career on loan at his old
club.
The only obstacle preventing the loan deal from being
finalised is the 27-year-old's €2.5m salary. Benfica
unable to afford it and they want Madrid to pay half of
his wages if he returns to Lisbon.
Benfica want to get the deal done quick as they are
aware that other clubs, including Manchester United and
PSG, have already enquired about the Portugal
international.
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi says the club want to bolster their attacking firepower by bringing in three strikers during the summer transfer window.
Colombia striker Jackson Martinez is set to be the first forward to arrive at the San Siro in a £25million deal from Portuguese club Porto.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, of Paris Saint-Germain, has also been linked with a return to the club.
