Liverpool's busy start to the summer transfer window has continued after they completed the signing of Joe Gomez.
The highly-regarded Charlton defender completed a medical on Friday and has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal after the clubs agreed a fee in the region of £3.5million.
Gomez will join up with Liverpool's squad when they return to training on July 6 and is expected to go on the club's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia to get the opportunity to bed in.
On confirmation of the deal the youngster told www.liverpoolfc.com: 'It's a dream come true. It's a bit surreal and it hasn't really hit me yet. But I'm buzzing and just excited to get started.
'The club has got great history and it's a great club, and one that I've always been following from when I was young.'
He becomes Liverpool's fourth arrival of the summer, following on from the Bosman deals for Manchester City midfielder James Milner, Burnley striker Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan, the Bolton goalkeeper.Source:Dailymail.
